The Alice Johnson Jennings Library

North Star is proud to house the Alice Johnson Jennings Library: 800+ books, DVDs and CDs, all celebrating & focusing on LGBTQ life. Visit the Center to browse the shelves!

The library first opened in September 2013. We now have: a large fiction section (everything from romance to murder mysteries to literary fiction to queer classics); a teen/YA shelf with fiction and nonfiction; numerous children’s books; many biographies and memoirs; small sections for comics, theater, and poetry; and various nonfiction books, including resources for folks exploring a new identity or seeking to be a better ally.

If you'd like to check out a book, stop by the center and speak with a volunteer or staff member.
