En North Star LGBTQ Community Center, ofrecemos una amplia gama de programas dirigidos por voluntarios que atienden diversos intereses y necesidades. Nuestras ofertas abarcan desde sesiones de elaboración creativa hasta grupos de apoyo entre pares, y todos ellos se ofrecen de forma totalmente gratuita. Nuestro objetivo es fomentar un fuerte sentido de comunidad y unión.

Alliance Book Club

The Alliance Book Club is a systemwide Forsyth County Public Library book club dedicated to reading and discussing books by and/or about members of the LGBTQIA+ community. For more information, please contact Tony McCloud (mcclouad@forsyth.cc). New book title will be available at the beginning of every month. All books featured in this book club have several copies to rent from the library. If you have any issues getting a copy of the book please email info@northstarwsnc.org or mcclouad@forsyth.cc.

Café con Orgullo

Join us for a wonderful morning at "¡Café con Orgullo!" held monthly at North Star! This event celebrates the collaboration between the Hispanic League and North Star, bringing our communities together for memorable experiences. Enjoy delicious coffee and a variety of snacks while connecting with friends and making new ones. Each gathering is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about both organizations, our missions, and how we can support each other. Don't miss out on this special monthly event – we look forward to seeing you there!

Crafty Queer

Crafty Queers is a crafting social group where we have light conversation while working on individual projects. You can learn to crochet, do some painting, or choose something out of our big bad crafting bag.

Free STI/HIV Testing

Free CONFIDENTIAL on-site HIV and STI testing provided by POSSE (Prevent Ongoing Spread of STIs Everywhere) is a program of the HIV & STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) Outreach Section at the Forsyth County Department of Public Health.

Gender Expansive Adult Peer Support

The Gender Expansive support group is open to adults who identify as a nonbinary, enby, bi-gender, Agender, 3rd Gender, 2 Spirit or other gender identities that don’t conform to a singularity within the social binary gender construct.

Join us for an enchanting evening of live music and community at North Star's Music Round. This monthly event is a perfect opportunity for musicians and music lovers alike to come together and share their passion. Whether you play, sing, or simply enjoy listening, you'll find a welcoming and intimate atmosphere. No need for speakers or sound equipment—just pure, acoustic enjoyment. Come and share your talent, or simply relax and enjoy the performances.

Join our SAGE Youth Club, a safe and vibrant space for LGBTQIA+ youths in middle and high school! Every third Friday of the month, we come together to celebrate diversity, build friendships, and support each other. Dinner is provided.

On the last Sunday of every month we will be at Northstar for card and board games. Games will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own! Please let us know if you're coming as we usually leave if nobody shows up after 30 minutes.
