We’re reaching out to share that The Trevor Project has officially launched our 2025 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People — one of the largest and most comprehensive surveys of its kind.
As you know, this year’s political climate has made life even more challenging for LGBTQ+ youth, and now more than ever, we need their voices to be heard.
Unfortunately, we’ve historically faced challenges recruiting participants from North Carolina, and we want to make sure young people in your state are represented in this critical data. Our State Reports, which many organizations and policymakers use to advocate for change, are directly shaped by this survey data.
We would be so grateful for your support in helping us reach LGBTQ+ young people ages 13 to 24 by:
Sharing the survey link with youth directly
Circulating it through your listservs, newsletters, or social media
Passing it along to other organizations in your network who serve LGBTQ+ youth
As a thank you for participating, youth will also have the option to enter a drawing for a chance to win 1 of 100 gift cards worth $50 — we hope this helps encourage participation.
This survey helps amplify the experiences of LGBTQ+ young people and informs the life-saving resources, advocacy, and education that support them nationwide — and in North Carolina.
